dade280 Posted November 5, 2007 Share #25 Posted November 5, 2007 You guys are lucky. Apart from my Z and my friends 240 i have only ever seen one other s30 on the street. Actually it was parked in front of a guys house. Was a 260z.
DougN Posted November 5, 2007 Share #26 Posted November 5, 2007 Surprisingly here in North Atlanta I rarely ever see another 240Z, other then when my buddy and I drive ours to meet for lunch on most Saturdays. I did see a 280Z the other day when I was driving the '72. We were actually following each other for a bit :classic: I also see a primer grey 280ZX once in awhile which seems to live a couple of miles down the road from me. I see more 300's, and of course a few 350's every day who don't acknowledge their elder 240Z :classic:
RolfSis Posted November 5, 2007 Share #27 Posted November 5, 2007 Well, nowadays, you'd see my hubby and yours truly on the road every few days or so lovin' it B4 we sell my Bro's treasure. This excellent place has given us some recommendations (hasten to add we're total novices in the super Z car-zone) ... and we're up to our eyeballs learning/fixin'/workin' it! AND!!! Love drivin' her around these East Bay streets; heads turn, and the For Sale sign just went up in the windows on our drives. OK, must admit, miss my power steering, but wheelin' this baby and listening to her/him ROAR is exciting.Just ripped up (thanks, Hubby) .... the tar mats to prove things to ourselves.... what a job. Whew!
280z1975 Posted November 5, 2007 Share #28 Posted November 5, 2007 I have only seen one Z car since I moved to Belgium in February and it was racing at the 6 hours of Spa. In fact there was a HUGE classic car meet that day at the race track (the Belgian Classic Car Club is a sponsor of the race and if you brought your classic car to the race you got to do one lap 'parade' around the course). There must have been over 500 classic cars, but not one Z (or Datsun for that matter). Oh well ... once my Z is up and running (parts finally arrived on Friday) i will get out and do some of the local Z meets. The good thing about driving a Z when there aren't many about here is they sure do get people to turn their heads. I have seen at least 10 or more Ferrari's since I have been here (and I haven't even been to Knokke Heist area of Belgium, it's the tax haven area of the country :lick:). 240ZX Posted November 5, 2007 Share #29 Posted November 5, 2007 Here in the Ventura County area of SoCal, I see maybe one or two every month or so.......most of which are daily drivers in dire need of some TLC! However, I'm pretty sure there are far more to be seen but, like mine they probably live in a garage most of the time unless the weather is fair.....which is usually most of the time. Mine goes out about three to four times a month, generally on a sunny Sunday cruise to somewhere and back. Many times I get the impression that most people have no idea what kind of car it is....even so, I generally get the thumbs up from quite a few folks.Tom
Diseazd Posted November 5, 2007 Share #30 Posted November 5, 2007 There are quite a few in the Richmond area. Probably see a few every month. What I never see are 510's. I can count on two hands how many I have seen in my life other than the 3 my pops had when I was a kid.
zbane Posted November 10, 2007 Share #31 Posted November 10, 2007 Beggars can't be choosers. Here I thought I had the only (running) S130 in Jackson county, but I came across this little gem on campus! The vin is a little lower than mine, so I think it is from March 79. Left a note on the windshield inviting the owner to visit the site, who knows if he/she will... Though about a month ago I chased down a truck towing a somewhat sad white '71.
