Rockr69 Posted November 11, 2007 Share #1 Posted November 11, 2007 well the worst time in a while has befallen me, dear fellow members, I have to sell my precious beauty. I got laid off my job with no work in the near future and I have to sell the Z to make rent through the end of the year. Right now life sucks! However on a lighter note I'll be able to replace her in the spring when I get my taxes, if I can find one I don't have to travel half-way accross the country to buy. It sure is gonna be painful to see her go. She's in the classifieds if you want to take a look. I'll be back when I get her replaced, until then, Happy Holidays to all! red_dog007 Posted November 11, 2007 Share #2 Posted November 11, 2007 Work at Taco Bell or something instead!!! I would rather go through a working time in a fast food joint then to have to sell her off.End of the year is only two payments. I would rather suffer through a job for two months, then to suffer having to sellthe Z, only to spend the $$ to find another one and putting even more $$ and work into getting it the way you want.If you apply for a few restaurants, you can have a job by Friday maximum. People come and go so fast in these places, that they are always looking for employees.
MikeW Posted November 11, 2007 Share #3 Posted November 11, 2007 Sorry to hear of your situation. Consider looking for a way to be able to get the car back later instead of trying to find another. You might be able to find someone who's willing to give you less than market value for it now but then sell it back to you later for a little more to cover their trouble. If for some reason you couldn't buy it back, like at tax time, they could sell it themselves and not take a loss. I'd avoid a title loan or other such risky proposition. deadflo Posted November 11, 2007 Share #8 Posted November 11, 2007 Hey Rockr, are you familiar with something called "rural resources" or something like that in Newport? They may have a lead on something for you in terms of a job or assistance. Its somewhere on the main drag there (the one way headed north).Any chance you could sell some of your music gear instead? Or would that put you in a pinch for making more money? Will you be getting unemployment?
bigoak Posted November 11, 2007 Share #9 Posted November 11, 2007 Pawn the music gear. Get it back when you get the taxes...Why do I get the sense that a revised web-site logo might feature Darbji prominently...(although I must admit I still prefer the shot of you standing in front of Kharma...)Best of luck Rockr
Rockr69 Posted November 11, 2007 Author Share #10 Posted November 11, 2007 You guys are all great, the music gear is already pawned, Three kids and a wife need more than taco bell wages, besides been there done that and nobody's gonna buy an 8mpg 4x4 truck right now with gas prices the way they are. I've had her for about a year, little more. Yes am getting unemployment. Rural Resources have been helping out as much as possible and I have a few leads. Now don't start throwing things but she is after all just a car and my kids shelter is way more important than she is. The wife can sleep outside, just kidding If not for her I wouldn't have got the z in the first place, so with a heavy heart I'll let her go. It's kinda like a pet you've had for years that runs away, I'll miss her when she's gone but I get to fall in love with another sweetie who may not fill the void of losing the first one, but with a huge smokey burnout can help ease the pain of the loss. Now there's some sappy sh*t! Darbji don't you start crying, we'll all get through this together. Lots o Love. Dan Oh and I second BigOak on the in front of Kharma shot.....MMMM.......... red_dog007 Posted November 11, 2007 Share #11 Posted November 11, 2007 Maybe you can get some Manager spot. The place that I worked at, Assitant General Managers came and went all the time. They got $26k to $28k on salary, so maybe you could try the same?Look for a fast food joint needs an AMG as they will hire just about anyone for this. deadflo Posted November 11, 2007 Share #12 Posted November 11, 2007 You never know, the Ford truck around here might bring more intererst than you think, given that just about every one around here drives one. Your Z looks pretty good, but around these parts I think the Z is pearls before swine,(at least in most cases). Although I see why you'd want to keep the 4 wheel drive in this part of the country.
