She's gotta go :(

Unfortunately, he'll have a hard time getting a job like that since they'll know he'll bolt when he finds something better.

About 6 years ago, I lost my job. Little over a year earlier, I had just purchased a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE with a 5-spd. I had a 5-month old child, so the car had to go and my wife went back to work. If you don't have kids, it's hard to understand, but Rockr69 has the right attitude - it's really just a car.

Dude, I've been there - much luck to you. Hopefully, you are in a line of work that lends itself to easy employment.

Yeah, it does have to be hard with kids. Half of my family have kids 10 and younger right now and I see them have to make sacrifices all the time.

Though for being a manager, as long as you work in a right to work state, you don't have to tell them and can just not show up to work if you get a better job or your money situation is settled.

Apparently WA isn't, so maybe a two week notice?

Try Starbucks Coffee, it's great part time work. You can get benefits with only working 20 hours in the week and the hours are quite flexible. Best of all they are everywhere, so one has to be close to you LOL. That was where I worked when I needed a flexible job between other things when I lived in the USA.

I'm a trucker and I don't wanna go back on the road. So I'm lookin for local driving jobs. I've put in about 15 or so apps in the last week and a half alone, so something has to come up. If I go back to work soon-within next 2 weeks - I'll tell landlord to wait for his money till I start getting paid and if he wants to be hard and not wait, then though I hate to be this way, it'll take him until the 1st of the year to get us out anyway and I'll save my money and we'll move takin my Z with, but I'd rather not go through all that. Truth is I'd rather sell the car, pay him till the first of year. That'll give me time to be picky and take the best job available. I know wish in one hand...In the end it'll all work out. Unless one of you guys or girls wants to buy it for 2500.00 and sell it back to me in March???LOL! Just kidding! I love the '76 cuz she's my first, but truth be told I want a 240 to small block ford convert. Maybe a 4/70 car then I can have another birthday in April besides myself and my daughter to use as an excuse to drink a little whiskey, not that I need one but what the hay!. Hee Hee! Dan

My heart is broken for you, Dan. But you've got your head screwed on straight. I know some guys who would let their families starve (if they had them) before they would give up their cars. Nothing comes before my cars now but I am sure that would change if I had a family. No car can compare to the love and support of the people who love you. You're a good man and karma will remember you when the time comes for you to get another Z.

I agree with DeMoore, let's start a Save the Z Fund.

By the way, Kharma doesn't like that picture you're talking about guys. She says "How dare you try to be overshadow me! What the hell is wrong with you?" It's no contest anyway, she's WAY better looking! I mean, c'mon, she's a Z! Look at those hips! That's sex on wheels right there, kids.

How far are you from Yakima? I'm in Michigan but have a sister that lives in Yakima that might be able to take a look for me and hold it until I can either get it or convince her she needs it. She drove my original 72 while I was in Korea for two years while in the service (78 - 80). Had a hard time getting it back when I got back :-).

to mckkm, I'm about 4 hours away from yakima, but if you would like pics I could gather a set of current photos and get them posted.

To Darbji, thanks for your support, as for Kharma I agree, all you women are jealous of each other :cheeky:, so for her to feel that way doesn't surprise me. I do need to ask, does she know that you took her out of the avatar photo completely? And what about sharing the spotlight with those "other" cars? :eek:Dan

No, she doesnt know. Please don't tell her. She'll beat me. But she's not worried about those other cars. I mean, look at them. She's clearly number one.
