Good Day seller

I am interested in the immediate purchase of your posted item and i would love to know the following about your listed item:

The present condition and exact picture.

The final asking price.

Location of the item

Mode of payment.

NB. I would love to know if you will accept a certified check as the mode of payment for your item. The item is going to my boss who stays oversea.

Looking forward to your honest response.Shipment will be taken care of by me.

Regards.

Again no offense to the person who sent this im just poor enough already trying to not get scammed out of the few possesions i have.

Yeah, it's a scam. The replied to both of my ads to. I figured it was bogus, so I asked for details on one of them. They wanted me to accept their "certified check", deduct my payment, and send the balance to them via Western Union. A classic scam involving counterfeit checks. I declined, and reported their yahoo address to Yahoo as fraud.

I'll deal with that crap everytime I post on craigslist. They always want to purchase the "ITEM" yet they never say what the "ITEM" is.

You mentioned all the signs to look for..

ITEM Cashiers Check Their own shipping company Good Day Sir etc, etc. Location and final asking price.

Pretty much all the above are mentioned in a Scam email. hit the 'ol SPAM button and move on.

Dave.

Exact same thing happened to my cousin for her wedding dress. They sent her a "certified" check for 5000, told her to deduct her selling price, and send the remainder from her bank account. She lost the money in her bank account, AND the check was fake, so she had to pay the bank back 5000! And the stupid thing is, she asked the stupid bank manager to make sure it was a real check! They didn't seem to care about that part, though. they wanted their 5000.

A Current Affairs program here in Oz is right up these Nigerian scammers cakehole. With their assistance, arrests HAVE been made overseas but, so far, not here in Oz although the reporters have been keeping a close eye on a couple of these low life scum, just waiting to catch them in the act, on film, which they'll hand over to police as evidence.

Rick.
