And I just about flipped out. I had no idea my Z could look so amazing. Does anybody know who this is, or how much they paid to get this done... Or maybe I'll just make myself learn a new skill and sew the leather myself...

I'm very sorry to hear about Mr. Moschetto. To be cut down in the prime of life like that is tragic. I'm sure he would be happy to know his car is inspiring another brand-new Z enthusiest.

That interior is just amazing. I received my father's 71' 240Z that has been in a garage for my entire life. It origonally had a bad fuel pump and was garaged until they 'could afford a new one'. 27 years, 3 cats, a countless spiders later it is in great need of work. It was a place to hide birthday and christmas presents.

They recently (more from my constant prodding than anything else) got the fuel pump and a few minor things fixed so it runs again, but it needs a new muffler. So they're moving into a smaller house and can't keep it in the garage anymore. At the same time, I'm moving to a point in my life that I have the room and the drive - I think I'm becoming more and more bored by video games and more and more interested in working with my hands.

At any rate, the interior of my Z is not just bad, it is so bad that when we pulled the carpet we found probably 100 dead black widows. I keep half-expecting to find a dead rat or something (that's probably the problem with the muffler ). So if I'm going to be doing any work, I'd like the interior and exterior to look as nice as possible to get me modivated to fix the working components.

I have about 4,000 plus another 1-200 a month earmarked for this project, and I'll get some pictures and status reports when I start having them.

Step One: Get a clean, well lit space in which to work.

Vicky still owns the car as far as I know. I wouldn't refer to her as a 'brand-new Z enthusiest' (using your spelling) but rather someone that shared and will carry on the passion and enthusiasm Scott had for the car. I had the pleasure of meeting the Moschetto's at the only MSA show I ever attended which was in 2004 I think.

I was referring to myself. I'd reword it to bring that across, but aparently you can't edit a post after somebody's posted after it (probably a good idea). Sorry about that. His work is inspiring me to actually do what my father never had the time to do. (He always said, 'Maybe when I retire', 'I'll fix it up when I retire'... now he's retired and he still doesn't work on it).

Oh, I get it. You've got 5 minutes to edit after posting then it becomes etched in stone, so to speak. As far as retiring goes, well I'm retired but my cars are pretty much as finished as they're going to be. I'll still do maintainence but I'd say fix them up now and enjoy them when you retire.
