Needs a truck period. LOL Being a mechanic at an RV dealer, this just made me crack up. You just gotta laugh at some peoples stupidity :stupid:

Bonzi,

Brakes aren't the issue here. That car was not designed to pull anything like that in the first place. Hell that thing is lucky if it can pull itself much less a trailer LOL

I had a good laugh watching that. I have done that also, but not because of being underpowered or lack of brakes. I was pulling a trailer behind my truck on a very icy incline and by the time I realized I had no more forward momentum, it was too late. My passengers were impressed with my ability to steer with the trailer behind us, going backwards about 10 mph for a distance of about 1000 yds. I actually had no control and was just lucky to stay on the road without jack knifing. LOL

I always get a kick outta small cars with tow hitches. My other car is a Tiny Hyundai Accent I see several of those with tow hitches....what the heck are you gonna tow with a hyundai?!

Very small jetski maybe? I've crossed over Snoqualmie and Sherman (highest in state) passes in Washington State and prayed the people pulling trailers would not let their forward momentum slow down on icy inclines. Nothing like trying to pass people while going up a slippery slope, but the last place I want to be is behind someone who refuses to get over into the far right lane and is about to start sliding in reverse downhill into me. Worst case was while I was in college and going on an Everclear (legal moonshine) run to Montana for a party we were planning back in Spokane. On Fourth of July Pass, just East of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, we were cresting the summit when the snow got so bad all the big rigs were starting to lose it - slipping back and jackknifing. I was driving my friend's Mustang II with no weight in the back end other than some other friends along for the road trip. Guys with big 4x4s were cleaning up pulling people up the hill at $20 a pop. I told my friend who owned the car I'd keep driving but we were going to be headed back west to Spokane. If he wanted to drive we could keep heading for Montana. Needless to say we just bought more vodka etc. for the party at home and left the road trips for Everclear for fairer weather.
