Well, there's no question there...

THE DELOREAN!

Let's see what else...tools, painting, fiberglass and other automotive supplies, my pitt bull, Emmie, my brother, Judah, the love of my life, Jason (although he never asks for a thing), all my other cars, my artwork (mostly for supplies for my painting and sculptures and such) and (yes because I'm still a girl) clothes and shoes.

For me it's been all of the parts involved with my cycling the past 10 years. I will say though the last 3 as a professional I have been able to go into the positive, but with complete bikes in the 2500 to 4000 USD range it's not cheap.

Growing up I could never bring myself to spend more than 50 dollars on a pair of regular shoes. The extra cost for the "bling" didn't do it for me. But when it came to my cycling shoes I wouldn't blink at dropping 150 dollars or more. Oh the way the mind works ... LOL

For the moment I've stopped cycling and gone back to regular work, so the only thing taking up money at the moment is our little Cocker Spaniel Belle, she eats like a dog twice her size!

SNIP...the love of my life, Jason...SNIP

well darbji, this is all so sudden!

Jason,

Not being judgmental but that stuff'll mess with you bigtime! Didn't Van Gogh drink that? You see what happened to him!:dead: Just tryin to look after a fellow Z'er...:nervous:

ya, i get that a lot. don't worry though, the effects of absinthe are drastically overrated. it has more to do with the alcohol content (up to 144 proof) that makes people go crazy. what's funny is there is more thujone (the neurotoxin in high doses) in tarragon and sage than there is in absinthe! plus, this year the US has approved 2 brands of absinthe to be sold here. anyway, goin on a tangent here ;)

To start with, my two biggest money pits are my dirt bikes....Honda CRF450R and Husqvarna TE510! Then comes my two mountainbikes and one road bike....Ventana X5, Cove Hummer XC (converted to a single speed), and Colnago Ti road bike with Campy Record stuff. After investing about $20K on the make-over, my 1970 240Z now only requires fuel and general maintance. Of course there's always beer!!! You guys know how it is......just when you think your getting on top of the curve, there's always something that jumps up that requires $$$!

240z makes up about 80% of my money

Though there is also

-gas (currently $2.90 for 87)

-computers (build them)

-school (getting my Generals this semester!!!)

-Girlfriend of 3 years as of Nov. 19th. :)

-1992 Chevy S10 (thinking about a Vortec swap when my 240 arrives)

I'm not much for spending money. Just give me my Z, my wallet, cell phone, and a cigar box full of memories, and I will be just fine livin'.

When I get a job next year, I am going to be putting at least 20% of my money earned on each paycheck (hopefully more) in some kind of investment. Practicing right now but probably mutual funds. I figure since I don't have many expenses right now, to save my money and let it work for me so that I will have money when expenses do arise. (school, kids, house, car, health, ect.)

Just paid $1500 for driving lessons for two of my four kids, $750 for another last year - still have one to go. $500 Books for second oldest for this term.

$700 Bball for son two weeks ago. Irreverant number of nickle and dimer situations daily and piles of stuff that is too mundane to list.

So - I guess kids are still my real primary expense.

Camping - trailer soaks some cash

Oh and gadgets - I love electronics (360/PS3/WII/52" HD tube/Ipod......)

Z is actually a ways down the list (tranny/clutch/slave and installation last month)
