Thank God no more ToysRus lines but BestBuy lines aren't much better! Son is out of 'toy' stage and into electronics. More expensive or longer lines - don't know! At least his 'toys' are still a little less costly than mine!!

I avoid malls like the plague, but the day after Thanksgiving I don't even leave the house! (today I listened to Colorado beat Nebraska on the radio while I worked on my '72 in the garage). I can't stand crowds and have found that the best time to go Christmas shopping is the Monday evening or Tuesday evening after Thanksgiving. What I really can't understand are those jokers who wait in line all night outside for Best Buy (or other) to open at like 4:00 am on Black Friday!!! :stupid:

Couldn't avoid the stores unfortunately I work retail and at a Mac Store, so I'm the sales guy cursing having to start a '73 z in the icy morning as well as all the people in my store wanting a deal when our stuff never goes on sale.

I avoided the malls and headed to the local Pick-A-Part wrecking yard near the in-laws home where we were visiting. I scored a Z clock, a set of flush mount side marker lighs from a Hyundai that fit nicely on the Z, and a pair of like new 80W Pioneer speakers - all for under $30. Now that's what Black Friday is all about!

My nieghbor went out early Friday and bought himself a new LCD TV. Since he no longer needed his 'old' one, he sold it to me for 200 bucks. It's a 55" 1080 dpi HDTV w/picture in picture, etc. It's about 3 years old, like new, works fine, has all the literature and is a perfect upgrade for the much smaller TV that's in my enclosed patio. That's about as close as I ever get to the 'Black Friday' scenario. I agree w/Steve. If I can't get it on the internet or in a store before about December 10, I won't get it.

It wasn't that bad. It rolls and really isn't very heavy unlike the big boxy ones of ten years or so ago. My neighbor lives next door and we just rolled it out of his house across the driveway and sidewalk and into my house.

I waited until saturday to go shopping and i bought 3 wii systems..I was shocked they still had some.

yeah i got raped too with loads of stuff .

picked up a vintage nes system though at a swap meet.

I hate Black Friday and never go out anymore. You can always find deals on the internet, but Cyber Monday has deals just as good as Black Friday.
