#464 for sale in Hybrid Z classifieds

In case anyone is interested in a 1969 production car, #464 is for sale in the Hybrid Z classifieds that needs to be sold by Dec 7th. The seller is asking $3000 and the car is located in Hilmar, CA. Here is the link http://classifieds.hybridz.org/showproduct.php/product/4534/cat/9

Here is the text from the ad: "1970 240 Z low vin number, engine #L24-2389, She is all original. FAMILY EMERGENCY MUST SELL IMMEDIATELY!!! Please contact me for more pictures or any other questions. You can call me at (209) 632-6815 need to sell by December 7th, 2007"

In an IM I got yesterday it has her number as (209) 632-8615, so I'm not sure which is correct. I don't have any relation to the seller, but I spoke with her briefly this summer and considered buying it, but then I found a package deal for #331, two parts cars, and other parts about 10 miles from me. I'm attaching the additional pictures she emailed me this summer. The rear hatch looks rusty. The door VIN tag has been painted over and I didn't get any other pics to confirm it is numbers matching or of any other rust prone areas. I'm just passing this along in case anyone else may be interested since she needs to sell quickly.

Yeah, I spoke to her in July and thought it probably sold soon after that, so I was surprised to get a message yesterday that it was still for sale. She was kind of hard to get ahold of. I don't think she had her number in the ad originally and she may have lowered the price some recently. I think the car is inoperative. One of those it ran when I parked it a couple of years ago and we tried to start it recently but couldn't get it running stories.

This car is for sale again. I am the new owner. But I got a 75 280Z as a gift and would rather modify the 280Z than alter the 240Z. But I dont have the time or money to work on them both. So I have decided to sell it. Its currently not running but it will be before I sell it. I have already begun restoring it and I have it listed for sale in the classifieds on hybridZ. $4000 firm.

Thanks,

Phil

HI Phil:

There is a question as to the original engine still being in the car or not. One person reported engine serial number L24-04642 as being installed in the car.

Did you put the original engine, with Serial Number L24-02389 back in the car, or was it in the car when you bought it?

thanks,

Carl B.

Phil, in another thread confirms that the original engine is no longer in the car nor available.

FWIW,

Carl B.
