hi, i just purchased a 260z, and cant figure out how to open the hood=[ the release doesnt seem to do anything?

Hopefully the release hasn't snapped...

it shouldnt be broken, the guy i bought it from 2 days ago opened it, but i just remembered he said he installed a deadbolt so it doesnt get stolen, i just have to locate it..
