SU Carb Choke Hardware Needed

First, thanks to all who provided information on my conversion from EFI to SUs. It proved invaluable, as did the Z Therapy video.

That being said, I am missing the original choke cable hold-down bracket assemblies for both carbs. Can anyone help me locate a set?

I've fabricated a temporary set, but would rather have originals.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I'll look for your other thread but was wondering why you went that route as I'm considering going EFI on my '73 with an L28 ZX engine.

I have choke cables from a 72. My 73 choke cables go out the passenger side and over the valve cover. The 72's go through the firewall closer to the driver and do not go over the valve cover. If the '72 style are what you're looking for let me know & make an offer. I also have a console from the 72 and a console from a 71 that have the choke lever on them.

Regards,

Roy

... about the little "P" shaped clamp pieces?? These, after 30 something years of being allowed to work loose and fall off along the roadways of the world or not re-attached when carbs are removed, are constantly in short supply. We could use a shoebox full of them if you find any surplus..... Until then, emjoy your "home growns"

Cheers

Now that you mention it... the "original choke cable hold-down bracket assemblies" sounds like just the parts you're describing Bruce. I'm keeping the carbs so do not want to part with those.

not too long ago, a fellow on Ebay listed those and got no bids if i remember right. sorry, i don't remember his name, just that he was from Maryville, Tenn. someone else might know who i am talking about though.

I think this seller is the one you were referring to.

These clamps are for the earlier four screw carbs. I have seen the seller list the ones for the later three screw carbs as well. If you need those you can contact him and he can probably sell them to you directly or list them for you. He has sold several sets, so it seems he has the shoe box full of them that Bruce was looking for.
