$400 for a spare tire!!!! This is up there with some of the $50k Z's people are trying to sell. Wasn't the original a Bridgestone?

I'm so sick people people listing this crap on ebay that I've all but given up on there looking for parts. People think what they have is made of gold just because it's old. If I see one more "RARE!!!!!" I'm going to kill somebody......

Yeah, he's posted it at least twice, and it never draws a bid. Since he apparently doesn't have a clue that it isn't really original, he probably doesn't understand why no one bids! In this case, the bidders are better informed than the seller.

wrote to him expressing mine (and maybe the rest of your) feelings on the matter. Wasn't to nice maybe even on the borderline of prickish, But I think it's just ridiculous to have a price that high on something that isn't really a collectors Item, but a piece of one. told him he'd be luck to et $50 out of it and so fourth.

Hey . where my wife works in Banking they have a saying about some competitors , " they can throw mud at a wall all day and eventually some of it will stick '' . This person will sell that wheel\tire because a sucker is born every minute .I Recently posted a pic of a orig spare and IMO it is worth trade bait at best , certainly not 400 bones . I couldn't believe that auction as well !

Good point fuzze; I sure don't have any issues with anyone selling anything on ebay...best thing to do if you don't like it or it's rediculous is to just ignore it and not give it some thread space here....

I have a buddy who goes to Goodwill, buys all the computer 'junk' and anything else that he fancies on other shelfs. He is a professional freelance photographer, and lets just say he has some expensive cameras and is good with presentation. He finds a lot of these 'ebay suckers' he is quick to point out. He was telling me about a bare hard drive he purchased at Goodwill for $2 and he sold on ebay...description was something like 'hard drive, 20mb (VERY small OLD hard drive) unknown if works...' sold it for $20 plus $7 shipping...no kidding...he uses really nice presentation pictures and it works.

If this guy sells his wheel/tire, who here wouldn't think 'hey, that dork just put $400 in his pocket'....it will happen one day, almost guaranteed...might take another 500 years (imo) but it will happen.... ;-)

Everyone take care.
