Posted November 27, 200717 yr comment_229956 hi guys.in case you don't know, this blue race 240 was built in the early 90's by a fantastic company called FOURWAYS ENGINEERING in the uk.the car was one three built for a certain mr.Taylor who managed (maybe still) a rather well known 80's/90's pop band,Duran Duran.he built two road cars which were reported to have cost in excess of 70k each (remember over 15 years ago and in british pounds!!). the blue race z was commisioned later and rumours of anything between 140k to 250k have been mentioned.i'm in the process of gathering more information.information so far gathered is the race z was stripped and then rebodied in handcrafted alluminium panels.for weight reduction tubular steel wishbones were made for suspension,as was front and rear differentials.I spoke with the creator of this masterpiece today and it was quite clear that the owner has kept info minimal on his car and that it never raced officially and is kept in storage in uk.i've requested more info and photo's on the car,and he is going to ask the owner.this is probably the only photo released on the car. what do you think?? November 29, 200717 yr Author comment_230174 yes your absolutely correct it ha d the ly x flow engine.this cylinder head was made by nissan and were made for group 4 racing only.nissan only had to make the heads, apply to homologate them, and then make them available for general public to be allowed to legally use them in competition.: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26366-uk-race-240z-cost-over-140k-gbp/#findComment-230174 Share on other sites
