Posted November 27, 200717 yr comment_229967 okay i posted in the open discustion forum "by mistake" but i'm just wondering b/c after a couple of searches i haven't really seen anything cut and dry... i have a stock suspension setup except for tokico springs/illuminas.. and i'm wondering if 17x7.5 rotas with a 20mm offset will fit Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26369-17x75-rotas/ Share on other sites
November 27, 200717 yr comment_229982 i know that should fit on a 510 no problem, not sure on a 240. are you wanting stock fenders or flares? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26369-17x75-rotas/#findComment-229982 Share on other sites
November 27, 200717 yr comment_229988 If you have Tokico springs and shocks, then it is not a stock suspension setup. You will need a spacer with the 20 mm offset. What size I can not tell you as you need to figure that out for your application. November 29, 200717 yr comment_230221 In my investigation for wheel replacement, I've been cautioned by folks smarter'n me that zero offset is ideal for a non-flared, non-rolled fender. November 30, 200717 yr Author comment_230274 i didn't post this info b4 but i do drive a 280z not a 240 and i think the wheels might work with a 1/4 spacer in the front and none in the back.. i think my issue now is trying to get them to fit without rubbing on the fender lip Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26369-17x75-rotas/#findComment-230274 Share on other sites
December 5, 200717 yr Author comment_230507 okay.... so i finally have the wheels installed on my car under STOCK fenders with only rubbing issues when i turn the wheels all the way to lock, they rub on the lower inner frame rail.. if i had more then a 1/4 SPACER it probly wouldn't rub at all.. also i had to get longer wheel studs for the front but the back is fine.. i have some pics uploaded up at hybridz.org i'll see if they will work here Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26369-17x75-rotas/#findComment-230507 Share on other sites

December 5, 200717 yr comment_230520 IMO they look huge and detract from the look of the car. Out of proportion you could say. Maybe drop the ride height by a inch or two could make a difference but for me, all I see in that pic is wheels. December 5, 200717 yr comment_230527 I'd say that they look fine. However, you should try getting those bumper shocks off the back. I pulled them both out last night ( my gas tank is being repaired) and they're easy to get out once that thing's dropped ( a pain before). They weigh 15 lbs. together.
