Couldn't find much searching.

Found an incredible set of wheels at a good price.

Fronts are 16x7 +13, rears are 16x8 +14

Any concern with the offset or width?

I will likely run a 225/50 tire, I am not too nervous about rolling my fenders.

Currently, I am on Eibach springs and Tokico struts (with plenty of room).

Anything here scare you? Should any of it scare me?

Heres a quote i found on "the other site"

"1972 240z, Sportmax 16x8 0 offset wheels, 225/50-16 tires. Car lowered slightly.

Rear tire sidewalls rub on uneven terrain and during bumpy corners.

Will adjust ride height up and add rear sway bar to stiffen. If that doesn't do it, will move rear springs to front and use stiffer in rear.

UPDATE 051107

Ride height adjusted up .6". New trim height is 26.1" measured from ground to fender lip at wheel centerline. Added Suspension Techniques rear sway bar (nicely engineered btw)

Rear springs are 170 lb/in

Verdict - Still rubs on extreme bumps. Will move rear springs to front and use 200 lb/in in back."

I am not sure, but a +14 offset may be a little to close to rubbing the strut. Hope this helps!

Hmmmm. What's the "other site?"

I have the MSA (I think) RSB.

But I don't know how the offsets of +13 front and +14 rear will effect things.

HOLY CRAP! 295's?!?

Yeah. I remember my dad put a 15x8 wheel with a 295/50 tire on rear of his 280zx, and they fit right in there perfectly. I dont remember the offset though. Just so you know, if you put a 225 tire on a 8 inch wide wheel, the tire will looked slightly stretched...most 225's are meant for min. 6" max. 8" wide wheels.

There is more room between the mounting surface and the strut in the rear than there is on the front wheels.

I did some measuring and estimating on my car several years ago when I was looking at wheel/tire combinations. In my notes I see that I had some estimates of maximum offset that show something like 5 inches of maximum back spacing with the stock struts. That would give your 225's a max offset of about 10mm.

But 215's would very likely work with a 13mm offset. I admit that I was trying to be safe with the 5 inches as well. It might work, but it would be really close.

How about 17 inch rims with 205/40/17 tires on a

'77 280Z?

I've tried the search function but can't find what

off set and backspacing I need to run with that combo or

for 17's in general for that matter.
