Just gotta share this: I'm now a grandpa! My youngest son (23) became a father today of a beautiful baby boy. Mom and baby are fine and he is a charmer. Can't wait to have him help me with the Z.

Congratulations! My parent's live for my daughters. Just wait until you have a lapfull. There's no happier time for a Grandparent.

Congratulations mate. Grandfatherhood is GRRREAT MATE. It can be a lot of fun. Now you have an excuse for being seen in toy shops looking at toy cars, buying toy cars and even "testing them to see if they're suitable".

Best of all is teaching the little one bad habits before giving them back to their parents.

When my youngest son was 20 and my oldest son was 24..... we call the boys and invited them over for dinner... That is when we told them there would be no hurry to get us Grandchildren, in fact we were going to have a baby ourselves..... and they had to come help convert my "Den" back into a "Nursery".

They thought we were kidding.... when we told them they would have a little sister they started to believe us. The only thing better than being a Grandparent, is being an experienced Parent -VBG -

Today my younger son has three daughters age 11, 9 and 3. My older son has good sense!!

Yes, I'm a real sucker for the Granddaughters....

The only problem with being a Grandparent is that it's happening at far too young an age - my Grandparents were OLD..OLD ... OLD ....

My Great Granddad used to go fishing in his old blue ford pickup with me.

When I tryed to crawl under it one day when he was working on

it he told me get out of there before it falls me ^^

I remember when my feet first touched the floorboards in the

back seat of my Grandmothers '76 Coup de Ville.

Start looking for an early Z for him now and put it in storage until his teen years when he might develop an interest to restore it with his grandpa.

As a new Grand-Aunt, feel the excitement you feel and wanted to jump in with a "congratulations" to you! We thought we'd keep our Z for grandchildren as well for eons to come, but times changed things for us.
