Posted December 19, 200717 yr comment_231795 a couple crappy pics of my ride sunday morning after bringing it home.. bought the car for $250 with the papers, the bike was $50 with a locked up engine, went there to buy the car for $300 so technicaly I got the bike free :stupid: bike had no plugs in it but Ive already got the engine free'd up, no spark though.. the wires are all rat chewed. car starts, runs for a second at 1.5K then acts like its out of fuel, dies, when the fuel pump finaly kicks off it runs again the same way. anyway.. piccy goodness Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26547-my-83-280zx/ Share on other sites
December 19, 200717 yr comment_231798 Nice deal check the car for rust. Are you planning on using the car as a daily driver? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26547-my-83-280zx/#findComment-231798 Share on other sites
December 20, 200717 yr Author comment_231834 floor pans are about rotted off the thing, its been sitting some time. if I can sort out the stock engine and FI; then yes, Im going to use it as a daily driver for a time. Eventualy though a 350V8 and a TH350 tranny are going in it to use as a bracket drag racer. December 20, 200717 yr comment_231836 Might be cheaper in the long run to find a car that actually has a frame to build as a bracket racer. Even after the floor pans are fixed you'd still have to reinforce the unibody structure of the ZX in some way to handle the stress of drag racing.
