Z Stores out West?

So, I am going to be right outside of Santa Cruz (15 minutes or so). I know that I am going to be needing a lot of stuff out there that the internet may not be able to get me fast enough.

So, for people who live in this area, do you know of any junk yards that have Z cars sitting about, or any Z shops/Stores that know their stuff and can get me almost anything that I may need?

I could even go as far as San Jose, maybe San Fransisco area. I might even be in the Sacramento area for a day or so, so even there would be cool.

Would that be in Salinas, Monterey, Carmel, Seaside, Gilroy, Pebble Beach...

There are several yards in Salinas, but I don't recall just where (never needed when I lived out that way). Gilroy most likely has some, and I recall a couple members mentioning some in the Santa Cruz area itself.

Possibly your best bet would be to get up to San Jose, I would think you'd be more likely to find a Z car or three to pull from.

I've heard they can be expensive sometimes depending on what you need, but if they are the only place to get a part needed to make it home, I guess that wouldn't matter as much as it would once you finished the trip and could afford to order a part and wait for it. Rancho Cordova is the area in the south east corner of Sacramento.

For wreckers, you are pretty much stuck checking the San Jose pick and pulls (there are 2)if you want any chance of finding Z parts. There is one in Moss Landing that has one or two on occasion. Other local places in Salinas, Watsonville, Santa Cruz, etc. usually don't bother with the "old" stuff anymore. I have had much better luck with the pick and pulls in the cental valley when looking for old car parts, but would be an almost 3 hour drive from Santa Cruz. One vendor of Datsun parts (new and used) close by is Rod Eaton (Rod's discount datsun parts) Prices vary from reasonable to "you want how much?" but does keep quite a bit available and is in San Jose.
