Every 2-3 maybe 4 days the board crashes.This is getting really friggin' old.

That's life on the internet. I just find something else to do. People speak of 'withdrawals' when this site isn't available. I spend as much time, maybe more, as anyone here when it's working but give me a break, it's just a car site.

Another car site I'm on used to have problems with the site being unavailable.

They wrote a cron job script that checks whether the site is up or not, and if not, it restarts the web server. Works well. Since it was set up I've never noticed the site being down.

Maybe something similar could be done here, depending on why the site is actually down in the first place.

I don't think restarting Apache will do it, as these last site outages over the weekend were deeper than that. Mike has granted me the ability to do some remote administration of the server, so I can restart Apache if needed. Actually did that a few times a few months back, when that was a problem. But these last couple of outages were different, I couldn't contact the server at all. Nothing I could do.

Actually, it's a vast conspiracy to get Z Train off his arse and go work on his Z...

Who needs to adjust their atitude? Looks like somebody needs a week or two off the site...

The only problem that I see with this forum is that more people seem to get along with each other than on other forums. {It probably helps that most of the members are too smart to bother talking politics on a car forum}

What the hell is wrong with this site? Not a damn thing!!!! Gotta love this site.
