Posted January 11, 200817 yr comment_233655 I have spent hours looking to id a set of 5 slot mags. Tires are still on, but offset is about 2.5 inches and backspace is about 4.25. That makes the rim, i think, a 14x6. All it has stamped on the back in 08983 and an E. They are in great shape and I would like to know more about them. January 11, 200817 yr comment_233660 I have a set of these on my 72 240z. However, I believe mine are 13's, I have to double check. However, they are a little too old school for me, and when I'm ready, will be either selling them or trading them for a set of rims I like. I'm wanting to go 14 or 15 inch rims, after I put a better suspension on the Z. I'm thinking KYB shocks/struts with Eibach springs, sway bars and strut bars. January 11, 200817 yr comment_233670 Justin, 13" wheels won't fit of the front brakes on a Z. So yours almost have to be 14". For performance use you'll want 15" or 16". Personally, I LIKE the old school look on a Z, but then, I'm not so young myself anymore... January 11, 200817 yr comment_233672 Arne, thank you. They just look 13" to me because of the trie size that's there, but you're right, I just looked at them on my last break. And I'm wanting to go 15 or 16 inch rims. Me being in the younger generation, old school to me would be late 80's to early 90's. After all, I was born in 1979... January 11, 200817 yr comment_233689 Arne - When I got my drivers license the first shipment of 240Zs were just arriving in North America. I bought my '72 240Z in 1979 to celebrate my first full time employment....(I'm still celebrating).GWGarrard Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26722-5-slot-flummox/#findComment-233689 Share on other sites
