Ron Carter Posted January 11, 2008 Share #2 Posted January 11, 2008 The first ebay link above is a car that belongs to Bill Baker, and is a truely unique car. The second, is well, what it is...beat to death.

Mr Camouflage Posted January 12, 2008 Share #4 Posted January 12, 2008 Yeah the front passenger wheel looks like there maybe something bent on it? I thinks that's the problem right there:
jmortensen Posted January 12, 2008 Share #5 Posted January 12, 2008 Betcha it turns left really good... apparently that's what it was built for.

rxsleeper Posted January 13, 2008 Share #8 Posted January 13, 2008 The first ebay link above is a car that belongs to Bill Baker, and is a truely unique car. It really is and I guess you can partially blame me for Bill's Z car passion. He bought my rust bucket '71 autox car back in 1980 or '81. He is a little younger than me and He carries the Datsun torch well. The 710 is truly a neat car that I got to see run at Road Atlanta more than once (at least a Bondurant 710). We have talked and emailed a couple of times since getting reacquainted after 20+ years of not seeing one another.
Ron Carter Posted January 14, 2008 Share #9 Posted January 14, 2008 Rx Sleeper,I have spoken with Bill for the last few years via a Datsun racing email list. Bill was instrumental in transporting my Datsun Roadster from Florida to Southern California. He is a great guy.Are you racing Datsun's now? and where are you located? 240Z415 Posted December 15, 2008 Share #10 Posted December 15, 2008 Well the Bondurant 710 is finally headed back to the West coast where it will feel more at home. Santa said I could buy it.If anybody has any information or pictures of this car I would greatly appreciate hearing about it.My intention is to have it relive it's childhood with one of it's 240Z cousins. Thanks for any help.Steve Pharr
rxsleeper Posted December 15, 2008 Share #11 Posted December 15, 2008 Good luck with it Steve. It is a neat car and over the last couple of months I debated over buying it. I had neither the time or place to build it. Instead, I built a shop to better work on the Z's. BTW, my race Z came from the west coast. Michael Scott built it and won several races with it. Good luck, Paul
