The days are actually starting to feel longer again (Daylight) and I went to visit my Z last weekend and GOD I can barely wait to get her out again. I was actually sitting in the drivers seat like a big kid thinking about last summers cruises me and my Z took togeather. All I can say is summer can't come soon enough for me guys LOL

Thanks for listening to me vent :nervous:

I imagine that in MN it'll be in storage until the road salt is all washed off the roads, something that those of us on the West Coast don't have to think about.

Yes, it's too cold here in Oregon today to ride the two-wheeler (high was about 36º F here today), but that doesn't keep the 240Z in the garage. I drove mine to work today, and will probably drive it the next couple of days as well. I do feel bad for those of you in the snow belt.

You guys out west aren't helping!!

I'm sitting here surrounded by pictures of my Zs, and that's the best I can expect for at least another 4 months.

A/C - what's that?? I have the heat set on high in my Altima...and had to scrape the windows before leaving this morning!!

Realities of salt belt life - I went to my house last night to get the mail and ended up getting the snowblower out to do the driveway.

After a 1/2 hour blowing snow I was topping up the snowblower with gas in the shed - I looked at the vague shape of my Z under it's cover. I had to peel off the sheets to admire her for just a couple of minutes - all waxed and shiney. A look from the front, from the rear, down the passenger side.

4 months is a long time. I can relate.

Every dead-of-winter I have to read the same posts about all of us northerners going crazy with no Z-time. Then all the southern guys pop in with 'hey im goin for a drive today!', and 'weather is great here'.

This winter my car is still in gettin prepped and painted, so all I have to look at in my garage is a very cold engine gasket set staring at me waiting for warm weather.

Sailor Bob got it hard this winter. My wife was out there a few times on business and she says its waaay worse than our southern ontario winter. So I feel for you brother.

Here in WA, sometimes, it does snow, and they bring out someliquid de-icing stuff and salt and sand........

Don't forget your neighbors on the east side of the Cascades in Washington. Here in the high desert just below Canada it does snow a little more than "sometimes" ROFL. I went to college in Spokane and it really snowed a lot there, even though it is a lot further south in the state than my hometown. It hasn't snowed here in a couple of days, but there's still lots on the ground and it is currently 20 degrees Fahrenheit (-6.6 Celsius). Not good Z driving weather and even worse for working on your Z when all you have for heat in the garage is a small old barrel stove.

You sound like me LOL I keep looking at my digital photos that I took of my Z when it was nice and clean outside and it's making me have major withdrawals which is what made me start this post. When I was at my storage garage last weekend checking on it, it really made me craZZZy

Arne, your correct. Even when spring comes I have to wait till the roads are swept and even then I still wait till the first spring rain to flush the streets clean.

"I feel your pain.....

Today I had to wear jeans instead of shorts to drive my Z....." :hurt: LOL

Kind of off topic, but speaking of pain, I went to the drive through to get some lunch the the other day and my daily driver has power windows. I hit the button to roll it back up and got so close to the top and I heard this "klink" noise and down the window went into the door and it was about 10-15 below 0 outside. MAN was that a cold ride home. Seeing the looks I got from other motorist with the window down was priceless LOL. Thank god for my 50,000 BTU heater in the garage to allow me to fix it. There is something to be said about manual windows :D
