BRE-240Z Posted January 18, 2008 Share #1 Posted January 18, 2008 Hello, It's been a long road, but my Z finally goes to the body shop for some paint and body work on January 28th. Right now I'm trying to put together all of the rubber bits, weatherstripping, etc that I will need when the car comes home, so that I can reassemble the car without having to constantly chase parts. I'm in pretty good shape, I think....I mean I've bought a Precision kit and I also have Nissan OEM door seals and welting. So I'm mostly covered. One of the rubber pieces that I'm not entirely sure about, however, is the one in the attached picture. My Haynes manual calls it a 'lower sealing rubber'. My Nissan parts guy (who is very, very good) tells me that this piece is now a part of a vertical piece that fits onto the quarter window, and tells me that the best price he can give me is $32 and change for each side. So....you can see the reason for my question. Is this rubber piece available anywhere? Is it necessary? What have other people done here? Thanks for your help.
