1973 240z. sale price was $1000, cost $300 to tow it from savannah to atlanta. seller didn't tell me the harness was melted, or about the 3 dents in the roof...but for the price i didn't expect it to be perfect. nor did i expect it to come with a set of french 3-piece racing wheels :)

VIN 3435 1970 240Z bought new in Montgomery, AL Aug 1970 for $3000. Traded with second child in the oven in 1973. Another Air force officer bought it and he contacted me in 1989 to ask if I wanted to buy the car. I bought it for the second time for $3000, the same as when new.

October !974, 260Z purchased from Bob Sharp's dealership for $5280 I believe which included taxes and fees.

Stolen and stripped 14 months later. I personally saw two street sweepers trying to yank the wheels off as I got there with the police after someone called them. The engine and tranny, interior, doors, hood and most of the glass was gone or damaged beyond repair.

I took my VW Porsche powered MicroBus out of storage and used it for a year before it was crushed by my (ex)wife after she thought I was cheating on her. I wasn't and she bought me a restored Volvo 544 with a B16 engine as a made-up gift.

At times I waffle as to which one I would want back if I could only choose one of them. I think a good 544 might be the cheapest one to buy today.

Now that would have been a conversation I would have like to have heard! Not like she threw your favorite Hawaiian shirt out, but crushed your car? I think I would have cheated then!

I notice you said "ex". Did that ever come up in the divorce proceedings?
