January 19, 200817 yr comment_234683 Looks like it's got some kind of twist in it that makes the front passenger side sit lower than the rest of the car. Seems to look level from the back at at the roofline, but sits low on the passenger side when looking at the front. January 19, 200817 yr comment_234688 Probably just the angle of the picture. I don't think that picture was taken straight on, and with the curved body lines can make things look wierd like that. January 19, 200817 yr comment_234713 The black overspray on the lift, and silver overspray on the tranny insulator and speedo drive really inspires me to wonder what the bubbles on the frame rail actually are, as they were obviously sprayed moments before the picture was taken. Add that to the obvious impact dents to the front section of the frame rail, and the the statement: "we give our best pricing to eBay buyers call -ins and walk- in buyers as we cut out hauling fees, entry and auction fees even thou most cars we sell bring alot more money at these live events and auctions where people can see the Quality we are offering" mean that is one that I would have to see in person. I think he said exactly the opposite of what he knows is true. If that car was from Clearwater, I bet someone knows about it...The car is pretty, covering the bottom with new paint was done to hide something, whether it is dirt or more-either way verifying why can't hurt. January 19, 200817 yr comment_234719 When I get a chance, I'll go look at it, and photographic it...I have not seen it here in Clearwater before...Carl B. January 19, 200817 yr comment_234720 Why put a Holley carb on it? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26806-nice-looking-71-on-ebay/#findComment-234720 Share on other sites
January 19, 200817 yr comment_234724 Carl,If you see the car, check out the oil pan. It appears to be one of the earliest found on '69 & '70 cars, not one a series 11 car. Thanks.Dan Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26806-nice-looking-71-on-ebay/#findComment-234724 Share on other sites
January 19, 200817 yr Author comment_234725 Why put a Holley carb on it?Someone probably assumed they'd get more power out of it. Not something I'd do to it. January 19, 200817 yr comment_234740 It does look skewed, but that spray paint on the exhaust - whats that about? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26806-nice-looking-71-on-ebay/#findComment-234740 Share on other sites
January 19, 200817 yr comment_234747 Heh,The bottom of that car looks a lot like mine, and I know that mine saw some "Off-road" action at least once.Odds are that by the time you got the sound insulation off the floor it would be perforated. January 19, 200817 yr comment_234751 I am impressed with all the knowledge here! I looked at this car and saw a perfect Z. The only thing obvious was the aftermarket carbs. Would anyone of you gents be interested in checking out a Z car (top to bottom) for me next year. I figure in either AZ or CA? I will pay for time and travel. As a photog I believe a wide angle lens was used, then cropped. The camera appears tilted on the right side, the white checker on the right angles upward.
