zbane Posted January 20, 2008 Share #1 Posted January 20, 2008 Just browsing epay and came across this one. Located in Wisconsin. Check out the mirrors, the dash, steering wheel, and the wheels...well maybe not the wheels. Tail lights look good from the photo. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1973-Datsun-240-Z-4-Speed_W0QQitemZ120211488014QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item120211488014 As of now, the price looks good-that is if the dash is indeed without cracks, and the mirrors are the Datsun competition (Black Pearl) ones. sblake01 Posted January 20, 2008 Share #2 Posted January 20, 2008 I don't think those are the 'Datsun Comp' or 'Black Peral' mirrors. Real name: (Dual Racing Mirror Set-No. 99990-00113). More likely they are the plastic ones that, and maybe still are available at the auto parts stores. I don't think the design of the Datsun mirrors would allow them to bend over that far. justinr54321 Posted January 20, 2008 Share #3 Posted January 20, 2008 Potential, maybe. I'd be asing for more pics of the floor boards and dog legs, and also under the battery, unless you don't mind having the usual cancer to deal with.Justin
DeesZ Posted January 21, 2008 Share #4 Posted January 21, 2008 To quote the seller: "The car has normal wisconsin rust and the roof has dents ."This leaves it wide open to the definition of "normal". Without some better description and pictures, be cautious. There does seem to be a bunch of decent parts. If I was local to it, I'd pop the opening bid + maybe a bit just for the parts. Who knows about the body, but if the dash is complete and crack-free, well that alone might make it a worthy purchase as a parts car.

There is alot of work that needs to be done on that car. Some of the guys have done more, but that is way more work than I would like to do. Just my opinion.
