How to properly adjust hatch height?

You have two places to adjust, so you need to determine if it is high everywhere, on one side, front to back, or some combination of the last two.

1) The hinges are one area of taking up or providing some adjustment, with them you can accomplish side to side leveling or leveling at the top.

2) The catch on the body of the car also has the ability to be adjusted up or down.

I'll look through my manuals and see if I can find the factory instructions, but I believe you have an expert at this sort of thing close by(across the river), I'll tap him on the shoulder and tell him about this thread...I hear he is a cheep date, so with proper liquid refreshments, he might well consider your cause to be the perfect excuse to cross the river in his Z or his roadster and take care of your high hatch issues.

But do NOT offer him dark beer. He only drinks the pale stuff.

Arne,

I ain't touching that one, and we have gotta get a wink smile for you!

I was going to mention his affinity for pinstriping, but didn't want to scare anyone.

In looking at the manuals, the latch on the hatch is also position adjustable.

The instructions are basic illustrations of the attachment points with arrows indicating directional adjustment .

For some reason, I can't attach a photo to this post. Both hinges are position adjustable on the body, and both latch pieces(on the body and on the hatch) are position adjustable, and the stops on the sides of the hatch opening are position adjustable.
