January 26, 200817 yr comment_235452 Here are the changes made up to and including 1975. I only see 1 mounting change. In the first illustration, the mounting points are C,D&E. For the 1975 280z, the forward mounting © was moved from the center tube to the front tube and was mounted to the transmission. I haven't found any info for the years following 1975. January 26, 200817 yr comment_235483 From what I've read and seen, there were no other changes after 12/74 through the end of 280Z production. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26887-muffler-mounting-locations/#findComment-235483 Share on other sites
October 16, 200816 yr Author comment_263524 Any diagrams for the S130 280zx?A Cat wants to know if my ANSA Twin Stacks muffler will fit his 1981 280ZX 2+2 on ebay.I like to give him a correct answer, seems like it would be no problem since the ANSA's for the 280ZX's in the old cotologes don't seem much different butthey do seem to look more designed for "quieter" operation IMO.~Z~ Edited October 16, 200816 yr by WingZr0 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26887-muffler-mounting-locations/#findComment-263524 Share on other sites

October 18, 200816 yr comment_263670 Here's a couple of 79 ZX exhaust system diagrams, California and Non-California. They're the same as an 81 but my 81 manual isn't good enough for scannig: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26887-muffler-mounting-locations/#findComment-263670 Share on other sites
October 19, 200816 yr Author comment_263705 Thyanx Blake! Thats what I was looking for.But am I correct, in looking at the ZX scan, that the ZX exits on the right of the car as opposed to the left side as on S30's?
