January 30, 200817 yr comment_235722 Best by who's definition? Mine would be to put a V8 in it. If you do an LS1/T56 combo you'll get better mileage than the L24 with SU's too. January 30, 200817 yr comment_235732 Well, lets say I know some people who have over $9000 in their N/A engines alone. And they are making 300-350hp.Cheap(er) power will come from a turbo engine. With the L series engines that is. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26912-i-have-a-question-about-horsepower/#findComment-235732 Share on other sites

January 30, 200817 yr comment_235739 Heres another question you should be asking,How much Horsepower did the Works Rally Cars put out?Back to your question about boreing out, theres a kit you can buy on MSA that gives you 3100cc's like a 300ZX.It turns a 280Z (it says in the cataloge) into 3100 CC !Their Kit includes ~NEW stroker crankshaft~89mm pistions~Pins, Rings~Connecting RodPistions are disigned to accept machining for a variety of blocks and head combinations and steal head gaskets can be used to alter compression ratios.Last I heard it was $1500.00Says there out of stock but heres the link anywayhttp://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/PEM05~Z~ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26912-i-have-a-question-about-horsepower/#findComment-235739 Share on other sites
January 30, 200817 yr comment_235740 you can spend anywhere between $0 and $5000 for a turbo engine. It all depends. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/26912-i-have-a-question-about-horsepower/#findComment-235740 Share on other sites
