Below are pics of my door panel and my center console. My console doesn't have a lid or hinged top to it. Is it supposed to have one or is the way I pulled it out of the car correct? Also, my white door panel has a blue paint on the chrome trim strip at the top. Portions of the blue are worn off, so I don't know if it's supposed to be chrome and someone painted it blue or if it's supposed to be blue. I'm not shooting for a concours restoration that is exactly correct, however I would like to keep it as original as it makes sense. Of course usability and cost concerns will also drive how the car is restored. I appreciate your help!!

The console is original - there was no console lid from the factory.

The plastic strip on the door panel originally had a 'chrome' plating ... which after all these years often flakes off the plastic strip...

Ah, so thats why mine are blue

After my panels spent 27 years in storage the chrome strips were on the floor, now the plastic matchs the exterior of the car! I'm happy with it.

If it weren't for the cost of shipping to and from me, I would offer a Chrome Strip Restoration service.

I've done a few of these and the results are good enough to show, unfortunately, the cost of shipping your panels to and from me is what makes it unpalateable.
