Butterscotch Interior "Refreshment"

I am in the middle of refreshing an off-white interior in my 73. I got new diamond material from Les, new seat covers, all new plastic, brand new console(stored in the rafters since 1993), new used heater bezel, all new Autopol light bulbs and a carpet kit from Les as well. When complete the interior should look like it did the day the car rolled out the showroom execept for the Wesco seatbelts which are awesome. I am lucky that I have a car with a crack free dash. The only part I can not replace are the door panels but they are looking real good regardless. This post has inspired me to take my time and do it right. I will have it complete for the West Coast Nationals. Thanks Mally for the inspiration.

Where did you get the color, dye, paint for your interior?

I got all the vinyl and the seat covers from Les at Classic Datsun. Interior paint was also matched. Les did all the color dying, I did have to paint the plastic.....be sure to prime it first.

Les told me that he was going to do Butterscotch plastic parts as well, he just wanted ot have a certain number of orders to do it. I can't remember the number. But if you are interested in getting new plastic for your butterscotch interior contact Classic Datsun or check out the website www.classicdatsun.com. If you dye your own take note of Mally's advice. When refreshed the butterscotch really looks great.
