Posted February 16, 200817 yr comment_237411 Hi, I'm doing the f54 l28 swap in my 240z. It already has the electric fuel pump with the 2 relays that made the pump run only on start up. My mad money fund has taken a big hit and is history. Can I use the Datsun electric fuel pump wired with a new relay? I have an extra manual fuel pump cam and could drill out the p79 head and retro a manual fuel pump. But I was interested in going only electric. When i searched here and hybridz I found some hints that this would work, but no solid answers. Thank you for your time. February 17, 200817 yr comment_237424 I am running just a electric pump. On my '82 zx engine. However I am running SUs. If you are using the injection the old pump will not due. I have been running electric only for years and no manual pump , even on my old L-24 that was in the car before. There is no need to butcher the P-79 or P-90 head for the manual pump. My electric is from a RX-7. Gary Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/27069-73-240z-electric-fuel-pump-for-l28/#findComment-237424 Share on other sites
