I am thinking about replacing my stock restored seats in my '78 280z for the Cobra Clubman. I was wondering if anyone here has them and if so, can you give some feedback?

After restoring my stock seats with new foam and new upholstery, I haven't been satisfied with the lack of support and comfort. Any feedback or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Andre

I searched for Cobra Clubmans, and I really don't think that they look all that nice. Seems to me that getting around that support tube every time you get in or out of the car would get real old, real quick (especially if this is a daily driver).

Now, if this is to be a once in a while driver or track car, that might not be an issue.

If you are looking for seats that have more support, I suppose they would do, but I would look for seats that have more of a stock look.

I might suggest finding Acura seats or Miata seats, as these tend to have excellent bolstering and lumbar support (lumbar depends on the year/trim level of the donor car).

In the last few years I haven't really driven the car much (which is a shame). Thanks for the replies. I think I'll just keep the stock seats for now. Unless I find a nice set of Miata seats. Thanks again.

I have early gen Miata seats in my car. I love them save for the fact that they are a little short. The head rest only comes up to the middle of my head. However, the seats are quite comfortable to sit in and look great in the car.

I put Z32 (Nissan 300ZX 1990) seats in my '73. Big improvement in comfort and support. Also not too hard to install. PM me for pics (I took a lot and I seem to have problems reducing them to fit on this site). Cheers, Mike

How about these Z scout?

They were supposedly for the Z432 or at least according to

some auctions on YJ.

Don't know what Z had them as stock or a option though.

Either way they look nice and have that stock look and you

can find some here :)

There also another variation FYI.
