Can't quote you on weights, but can speak from experiance. Wasn't the original question concerning 240 to 260 2+2 comparision?

As I said a 2+2 is excellent for navigational events, it's doubtful if you would be competitive in Tarmac events. Think of it as a mini vs a 240 in Motorkhana's. Horses for courses.

You must be mistaken, me bad mouth a scrut, never, never, a thousand times never, however, have you confused officials and their duties? A scrutineer and official scrutiny is held before a rally to check the car complies with all entry details in the supp regs, and complies with the NCR & NRC [if a rally].

The point I was making is that some zeds entered in Targa aren't legal in their class. ie 240's entered in original capacity when they are running highly modified 280 engines. The rules are rules and one only needs to protest for them to be adhered to, alas it's something that the organiser dreads but it will happen one day.

Ho dohc and gav,

That's quite a list of stuff to answer, dohc - and I will be away from home for most of today. What with the time difference between us, you will not see my full answer until tomorrow I think, so please bear with me while I pull it all together.

Gav, I'll post some photos of the 432-R replica project too - even though its pretty uninspiring yet ( just a rolling shell and a conglomeration of parts! ).

Hi Alan,

The RB26DETT has standard internals for the moment; the only modifications that I have done so far are external, "bolt on" mods.

I do not anticipate on running high boost as the power that the engine will produce will more than satisfy my requirements for some time.

If reliability becomes an issue, I will replace the factory pistons with forged items in the future, as well as some other internal components while the spanners are out of the toolbox!!!
