Posted February 18, 200817 yr comment_237566 Looks like it's pretty clean. It states the ECU was replaced after it had been taken out of storage. I wonder if there was more to it than what the owner stated on why it got parked 23 years ago?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1978-280Z-1-OWNER-79-000-miles-Stored-23-years_W0QQitemZ180216383760QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item180216383760 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/27087-nice-low-mileage-78-on-ebay/ Share on other sites
February 18, 200817 yr comment_237573 looks and runs as good as it did 23 years ago I don't know about that line. I hope that's not just clever 'eBay speak'. Remember, it got parked 23 years ago. There must be a reason Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/27087-nice-low-mileage-78-on-ebay/#findComment-237573 Share on other sites

February 18, 200817 yr comment_237626 I note that the car is located in Lenexa, Kansas which happens to be where Black Dragon Automotive is located. I wonder if there's a connection? February 18, 200817 yr comment_237631 Question -- the ad states original keys, and the photo shows 3 round head keys. Are these correct - did the 280's have the square head keys originally? Or were the square head keys only on replacement keys? I don't know where I came to that conclusion, but am curious nonetheless! February 18, 200817 yr comment_237634 My 78 has original keys, according to the PO, and they're square. They have the number stamped on one side also. The replacement keys don't. I can see enough of those keys in the picture in the ad to see that there are no numbers on them. February 18, 200817 yr comment_237648 Those are the original keys, they match the one I have. My replacement key is a squared off key that was cut at the dealer using the code number on the original key. February 19, 200817 yr comment_237686 I have what I was told were the originals for my '77: the door / hatch lock key is oval and igition is square, both with the same Z insignia. That dash crack has got to be the largest 'small' crack I've ever seen; I'm curious how he's planning on fixing it. February 19, 200817 yr comment_237689 I have what I was told were the originals for my '77: the door / hatch lock key is oval and igition is square, both with the same Z insignia.I always wondered if those keys had a "Z" on them or if it was an " N "for Nissan. February 19, 200817 yr comment_237690 Interesting because my doors, hatch, and ignition all use the same key. The insignia on the key is an 'N'. February 19, 200817 yr comment_237708 Interesting because my doors, hatch, and ignition all use the same key. Wonder if they changed that starting with the '78? My '68 Cougar also had separate keys for the locks and ignition. February 19, 200817 yr comment_237721 In my opinion 10.5K is pretty salty, even if the car has papers to prove it's history. There are some issues that just make me wonder in that listing. My opinion - others may think differently. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/27087-nice-low-mileage-78-on-ebay/#findComment-237721 Share on other sites
