c2 pack Posted February 26, 2008 Share #3 Posted February 26, 2008 It's really a shame that all "our" aussie delivered 240k's are going overseas. It's no wonder you don't see any 240k's on the road any more. Why can't they buy 120y's instead?
240kconvertible Posted February 26, 2008 Share #4 Posted February 26, 2008 I agree c2, it really is a shame. I've only seen 3 other coupes on the road since I bought mine in 2002.The "rebirth specialists" in Kuwait are fecked but sadly not many people are interested in them in Aus....... at least we get a few wicked videos from Kuwait, that has to count for something I suppose. gut-feeling Posted February 26, 2008 Share #6 Posted February 26, 2008 too late mates. seller tells me car was sold outside ebay to a "collector" in kuwaitHi, my first post here, I've owned two 240Ks, one VGC '77 5spd sedan one immaculate '76 auto coupe.I'm just curious, why are Kuwaities buying up 240Ks? Are they Skyline collectors? Do they buy up from the UK, US and Japan as well?
c2 pack Posted February 27, 2008 Share #7 Posted February 27, 2008 Hi, my first post here, I've owned two 240Ks, one VGC '77 5spd sedan one immaculate '76 auto coupe.I'm just curious, why are Kuwaities buying up 240Ks? Are they Skyline collectors? Do they buy up from the UK, US and Japan as well? The problem is that they probably have money to spend, and sellers can't refuse the very good offers they make for Aussie cars. I'm affraid it makes it hard for the rest of us who can't afford to match their price for an old 240K. The way it's going they'll eventually take all our 240K's unless people refuse to let their cars go to an overseas buyer. I'm sure Australia is the only country left with a decent stock of 240K's and that's why their targeting us.
Mr Camouflage Posted February 27, 2008 Share #8 Posted February 27, 2008 They appreciate the cars over there, just like Aussies do with old Fords and Holdens.USA never got Skylines (until the current V series Infiniti).
