August 20, 200222 yr comment_13494 My name came from back when I was 10 or 11... my brother was always called "Effa", which meant "E - for - Elliott" by people at school. The name was invented by the headmaster. Anyway, I needed a name as I was starting out on the net so I figured since my name starts with L I'd be "Elfa". Since my dad was into Alfa's at the time (had a 164 and a lovely black Spider Veloce) I thought why not Alfa? So I was Alfa for a while. Then I played Need For Speed (number 1!) one day and when looking at the high scores I saw one of the entries called "Alfadog". I quickly stole the name and my brother could never beat "my" record for that track hehehehhehee So there you go. August 20, 200222 yr comment_13495 My alias came from my Mum... She originally named me Michael. I've gone by Mike ever since I was a kid.I know... boring, eh?I also use another nickname on this board called Gholsie. My last name is Gholson and my coaches all used to call me Gholsie for some reason.I also go by Jedi. That originated back in the 70's when I was just a mere kid playing board games. My original name was Skywalker (probably because I am such a huge fan of Star Wars), and it was eventually broken down into Jedi. Now that Star Wars is too popular (again) with the kiddies, I've been using Jedi less often. At the time, it wasn't cliche, but, now that has all changed. August 20, 200222 yr comment_13497 I'm a New Zealander so I thought that 240znz would mean that I'm from NZ. Then I made a comment on a thread about "American" pronounced english......so you pronounce a "Z" as zee. So I'm just one of those bored people who loves taking the Michael out of some of our more "challenged" Septic Tanks....hence "Zed not Zee" (znz just happens to be the same).....hehehehehehe...we have similar citizens in NZ so you're are by no means alone. So I'm always joking about. That's why my signature says......... August 20, 200222 yr comment_13550 Mine is rather simple, like most on here. The "k" is for Ken and "mack" is my last name. But I've had the nickname for the last 11 years. I got it at my first job after moving to San Antonio. A good friend always had nicknames for people at work, so he came up with this one. We all thought it had a good ring to it, so it stuck. Had it ever since.Sad thing is, there are people here in SA that still don't know my first name....:classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2719-your-user-namehandlecall-sign/?&page=2#findComment-13550 Share on other sites
August 20, 200222 yr comment_13556 St. Stephen- you'll appreciate my plan for a vanity license plate: GR8FLZED to put on my Z. Something there for Jerry & Pigpen, as well as the "Zed" types downunder..as far as my handle: "ax" for axtell, "rph" for registered pharmacist. I use my email address because its unique, and i can remember it at all the different sites and addresses- try to keep life simple.I would create some cool name, but then i'd end up forgetting it...:stupid: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2719-your-user-namehandlecall-sign/?&page=2#findComment-13556 Share on other sites
