the_cafe Posted February 27, 2008 Share #1 Posted February 27, 2008 i need some advice. each time my buddy put the car in neutral and floors the gas so it bouces bum bum bum off the rev limiter and lets the cllutch on my 280 zed, it will only spin one wheel and not stand in one spot. we tried this same method 5 times while the other video taped and had no luck luck on doing a standing still burnout. how do i do this? i need to enter it into a burnout contest later this week and i need it to do a standing still burnout.....any suggestions on how i might go bout doing this???? Z Speed Posted February 27, 2008 Share #2 Posted February 27, 2008 Are you serious? I would suggest making sure you know what you are doing before trying it out first.....
d240zx2 Posted February 27, 2008 Share #3 Posted February 27, 2008 Abusing a Z won't win you too many friends around here. Besides, you need to know how to spell the name of the car you're trying to destroy.:mad:Frank

Arne Posted February 27, 2008 Share #7 Posted February 27, 2008 Note to self - avoid buying any '77 280Zs from Northern Minnesota, they may have been abused...

Unless you have keep up on the service/maintenance, which seems suspect just from your posts, there is a high probability that something major is going to break. Parts for these cars aren't readily available and easily found....
Zs-ondabrain Posted February 27, 2008 Share #12 Posted February 27, 2008 OR.............. The answer you're looking for is this, STop abusing your Z, sell it to someone who'll love it more than you, and last but certainly NOT least. LSD means Limited Slip Diff. Your Z OBVIOUSLY does'nt have one. This is a chunk of gears that allow BOTH tires to spin under hi preasures like "dropping the clutch at Hi RPM's. See my video below... Here's another one for your viewing pleasure. Dave.
