It's not the bald tires were commenting about. That is a 30 year old car you're trying to power brake. Unless you have keep up on the service/maintenance, which seems suspect just from your posts, there is a high probability that something major is going to break. Parts for these cars aren't readily available and easily found....

exactly. I peeled out in my 78 ONCE by dropping the clutch at 4500rpm, and ONLY once, just to get it out of my system. It was fun, but I'm not going to do it again because of how hard it is to find parts.

if you want to do a burnout, go find an old junkyard car or something. Don't use something as pretty and rare as a Z

... it will only spin one wheel and not stand in one spot.

we tried this same method 5 times...and had no luck luck on doing a standing still burnout. how do i do this? i need to enter it into a burnout contest later this week and i need it to do a standing still burnout.....

any suggestions on how i might go bout doing this????

The reason the Z will not do this is that it was made to move. The car has nearly a 50/50 weight distribution, and the engine has plenty of low end torque.

It was not made to do burnouts. It was made to go fast and handle like no other in its price range (when new).

But, since you asked for advice as to how to make it do a standing still burnout, next time you try it just stand in front of the car and push against it as your friend drops the clutch. :devious:

well Is their any way that i can get the moter to revv higher when i have the clutch in so it will have more power to the wheel?

me thinks the Engine isn't revving high enough when i floor it in nuetral and let the cllutch out because its not spinning the wheel fast enough.

Not by this weekend, there isn't. Not unless you are filthy stinking rich, that is.

You state you need to clear out some room. Is this because you have other cars around? IF SO USE ONE OF THEM.

Guys, let the kid abuse the Zed (with no rev limiter), let him break a few parts, have him go look up Z parts and buy stuff from me. One Zed less in the world is not the worst thing that can happen (maybe one less clueless Zed owner might be a good thing). Telling him to back off could be like taking money out of my pockets.

So, the_cafe, bust a nut my man and then contact me for all the things you'll need to get it back into good enough shape to sell. I got rooms full of stuff.

But please do it somewhere a long way from any other human being......oh, lastly, do you know what an open diff means?

i need some advice. each time my buddy put the car in neutral and floors the gas so it bouces bum bum bum off the rev limiter and lets the cllutch on my 280 zed, it will only spin one wheel and not stand in one spot.

we tried this same method 5 times while the other video taped and had no luck luck on doing a standing still burnout. how do i do this? i need to enter it into a burnout contest later this week and i need it to do a standing still burnout.....

Bricks under the front wheels maybe? NOS, LSD, V8 conversion.

Put the videos on youtube.

It's pretty obvious to me that you are here, not for knowledge, but for trolling. The answers to your questions, as vague as they are, are located all throughout this forum. If you created better formed and descriptive questions, many here would be able to help you with the objectives you have with your zed, however insane we may believe you to be. The search function is your friend….

P.S. In the upper right hand corner of the “Reply to Thread” box, there a spellchecking button (ABC). This cannot help with your punctuation, but at least it may help with your spelling….
