Posted February 28, 200817 yr comment_238824 Anybody have a source for parts for Sumitomo MK63 four piston calipers? I have two each on the front of my Datsun 510's and they are in need of rebuilding. I may have found rebuild kits, but I need 41.3 mm pistons and bleeder screws. Piston part # 41124-68200. Bleeder # 41129-A1280. These calipers are a bolt on upgrade for early Z's and were used on the Z and 510rally cars. They will fit inside the smaller 13 inch wheels. Wilwoods are too large. March 2, 200817 yr comment_239171 If I am not mistaken those calipers were still listed in Nismo Catalogue 2007. Surelly they should have spares. I will confirm this tomorrow. March 3, 200817 yr comment_239302 Alan;AP Racing Brakes lists a 41.3mm diameter caliper piston. Part number is Ø41.3mm CP3344-109. Might work if you can't obtain the Sumitomo pistons. You would need to check to see if the length dimension of the piston would work in you application.AP Racing Brakes (http://www.apracing.com) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/27202-help-nismo-fia-sumitomo-brake-part-source/#findComment-239302 Share on other sites
March 4, 200817 yr Author comment_239394 I called NISMO in Tennessee and placed an order for the caliper kits (seals, dust boots) on 3/3/8. Jessica said I may see them in 6-8 weeks. Pistons and bleeder screw were not available. I check out the AP site. July 3, 200816 yr Author comment_252719 My pistons arrived from Nissan Comp the other day. I was told they were NLA, but some stock was found. Now I can rebuild both sets of calipers. I did aquire a spare set of Sumitomos from a racer in Texas who has moved on th Hondas. I found him thru an ad I placed on an SCCA production car forum. I have a set of vented rotor calipers on one car, and solid rotor calipers on the other. I'll have to investigate my rotor options, maybe switching one car to the solid rotor version. The solid disc part # may be written down, um, somewhere, in my car's notebooks.
