My speedo cable and hood release cable come through the same hole in my firewall, is that correct? If so, is there a grommet that fits the 1 1/2 inch hole that accomodates 2 cables?

Check with the dealer and see if they have them. If not, check with Courtesy Nissan in Texas. They have a website.

Stephen, I know that your car is considerably earlier that either of mine, but both of my cars have separate holes and grommets for those two cables. The speedo cable comes through a hole directly below the clutch master cylinder, while the hood release cable has a separate hole to the left and higher on the firewall.

According to this old thread, it looks like that is correct, and the original grommets aren't available anymore.

I will have to check my cars to confirm this and see what their grommets look like.
