Waiting on server to respond - waiting, waiting

Sever response was very slow - to none at all. Edit function not showing up or not working. Double Post resulted... and no ability to ediit it...

Seems that the message "waiting on server to respond" is pretty common lately...

I noticed some response issues a short while ago too, Carl. I remotely rebooted the server which seems to have speeded things back up. Mike is not around, but we'll be looking into this after he returns.

With the new server etc - the system should be blindly fast!! Oh.. and the Edit function seems to be working at this point as well...

Agreed, and after the reboot the server seems to be fast again. There are some backup processes that seem to tie up the CPU after running a while (days or weeks, not hours), and I'm also wondering about possible memory leaks in some of the management software Mike uses.

Stuff to look at when he returns.

I recently enabled a few cron jobs during my time off. I'll look into disabling these until Arne and I have more time to debug. Thx for letting us know about this Carl.
