March 15, 200817 yr comment_240690 Dave you just might like the 260 engine with the longer stroke you should feel the difference in torque. Sounds like a great buy indeed. March 17, 200817 yr Author comment_240889 OK, so ya asked for pics. I got in the driveway today while Randy (NSANOW) was in my garage with his new 71' 240Z that he bought yesterday. He stopped by for some upgrades and a wiper motor and linkage. His 71' had a 73' wiper motor and it was buzzing because of the intermittent (yellow) wire. PO did'nt know they weren't interchangable. Anyways, While backing the newly purchased 74' into the driveway, we broke loose that frozen left rear wheel, I mentioned earlier in this forum. (rusted brake or something.) Lots of work to be done, I'm charging the battery out of the car tonight so I car start to trouble shoot the ignition problems. Turned over beautifully with a jump from my 70'. Needs both front fenders and a better hood. sugar scoop on the RH side needs work or replacing. Needs a front bumper, new carpet, center console, dash has the basic small cracks, etc. Has beautiful Door panels, 2 original radios (1 in a box), extra set of taillights, one marker light (left under bumper 240Z style) couple other extras. Basic rust on some spots of the floor. Did'nt have a lot of time to really go over the car yet but I'll let ya know when I do. Thanks for the comments guys, I will be looking for some parts to get her up to par, if the title issue turns out for the better. Dave. March 18, 200817 yr Author comment_240980 Thanks man, That makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. On on another good note. Went down to the gas station, filled up the can with 5 gallons of premium, came home filled up the tank, installed new BP6ES NGK's, checked all the wiring (whole nother story.) Hot wired it cause I don't have the key yet, it fired right up after the float bowl filled up.Drove it down the road and back, then into the garage to work on the left rear wheel. Pretty sure the stub axle bearings are trashed. Pulled the 1-1/16" nut off the stub axle, and it looks pretty rusty in there. Not a big deal though, I have a left strut assembly on the shelf, a better stub axle in a box, and I can find bearings somewhere around here or at the store.Pretty sure the struts are shot as well but who cares at this price. Best damn $550 I ever spent. Yes, she's in good hands as I don't really plan on parting her out. She's got a butt load of potential. But here's my problem. I need a new 3 terminal ballast resistor. I can't find one anywhere (near here) Anybody got one? Pretty please.Dave.
