Heloo ^_^

Posting some ANSA stickers I found.

The 1st one is a really big fender decal and I have 2 of those and

the race car version is the reverse window style and two of those aswell ^_^

I think there pretty cool and they're NOS Vintage aswell and not reproductions.

Don't know who the Crocodile Club was though.

And the last one is one of the famous muffler decals on the actual mufflers.

Good information!

I was at pick-n-pull today and found a 240z with some Ansa exhausts (which I immediately remembered WingZr0's posts here). All in all, I got the exhaust for $9.99!

I am happy.

Y0u LUCKY DOG U !

Now thats a rare find! Congradulations ^_^

I saw you ove Hybridz and thought "amazing".

If you ever need some cleaning up / restoration tips just let me

know by emailing or posting a few pics.

I also should be able to get some NOS little "ANSA" stickers for the

chrome section part of it for you for free I you ever need them.

WOW, greaaat pick and nice pull ROFL

Thanks! I looked at WingZro's collection I picked one up for $40 guess that was a good buy. still need one more, I'm going to run dual exhaust off my 6-2 header with purple hornies glass packs.

$40 ?! Wow, not a bad deal. I thought these were going for a few hundred!

Are these a total replacement for the muffler ?

1st yes they are total replacemt for the stock muffler unless marked

specifically as a "tip only" piece.

Alot of the ones your see in the low $40 to $125 are the

universal type that will work on any car while at the same time

improving performance by simply free up the stock mufflers restrictiveness.

The Twin Stack ones like the ones I currently am selling do go for the

higher range simple becouse it was SPECIFICALLY desinged for

the S30Z serious of Datsun cars and no other.

Add the fact it looks cool and is rare in style and also rare for being

made soley for our Z's :rambo:

What goes with the specificness is the methode ANSA uses when making

a Sport Resonator is the make several prototypes in a ongoing precess to

not only come up with the best sound but to also get the best performance

out the enigne.

Mainly the sound is what they're known for as the "ANSA Roar" as

it was once marketed.

The sound is tested by attaching the resonator then placeing a bunch of

microphones around the car in stretegic locations to record the

sound waves and presure levels to see which and where each

sound wave and frequency is coming from.

And how the body of the car (panels and such) affect them.

This info alowes them to make better prototypes untill they create the

resonator they like which meets the standards is ready for production.

I read this one a ANSA site some where basicaly word for word

but can't find the page now, it might be off the net this time.

But heres another site that has the history and similar info as well.

Notice the site is from the U.K. and seems to of stop updating in 1998!

http://www.ansamarmitte.it/MRKINGL/UK12.HTM

"1959 ANSA begins production of sport exhaust systems.

In these years competitions are frequent along the streets and in the

squares; "ROAR" does not bother the audience and excites the drivers.

1968 The increase of traffic and high performing engines influence the

design of the exhaust systems; reducing the sound and increasing the power

are primary goals for ANSA.

1970 ANSA’s experience is helpful to popular performance car companies

such as FERRARI, LAMBORGHINI, MASERATI, DE TOMASO and BUGATTI.

"The noise becomes the sound".

1972 To underline the performances of these cars and direct the market is

our daily challenge. But some areas like California begin requiring quieter and

cleaner exhaust emissions.

1974 ANSA’s persistance and technology allow us to homologate for the

American market the Ferrari 246 and Ferrari Daytona catalytic converter

equipped cars without compromising their performances.

1990 The design of exhaust systems has totally changed. Engines exploit

most of their potential and only by analysing prarameters such

as compression, fluidity, temperatures, frequences, sound levels and gas

composition one can obtain performance increase of 5% to 15%.

1996 This is not the end! The research which has transformed the

exhaust systems from a simple pipe and silencer to a primary component of

the car is working in ANSA. And we are only at the beginning of the next

revolution!

1998 ......................"

Theres a more detailed lsit of the man who actually started the company

which I might of posted the link to elsewhere and can't find now.

But the creator was a racer who made his own exhaust and friends like

his set up so well they had him make theirs as well whitch eventualy

led to him making exhaust for Ferrari then Maserati.

And in the '70's, after supplying most Euro auto makers as O.E., branched

out into the Asian and U.S. markets to make the Twin Stacks we see for

our Z cars now.

There was at least from best I can research 3 different S30Z ANSA's, all

in both 240Z and 260Z/280Z stock diameter sizes for the inlet side.

All made as bolt installation with no welding required.

ANSA's dropped off the rader IMO for the most part in the 1980's but

most of the older guys form the days when Z cars where new in the

70's remember the sound pretty well, just ask member NissanMaster LOL

All people who owned one of heard them befor always have positeve

comments in my experience.

Now when is my Z gonna be done so I can experience this, "ROAR!" :)
