I guess the area of the country where I reside took it's toll on early zcar's. The humidity is awful. I never see one on the road. just a zx now and then.I can't wait to drive mine in town! lately, now that I know it's about to be finished (well, you are never finishedLOL)I spend all my free time looking for thing's for the Z.Good thing there's not a wife at home! I'd be in court already.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger in this , there are fewer and fewer all the time. Other than my friends cars, I haven't seen a 240z on the road in 2 years maybe longer. A number of 280s but not many. Our weather is kind to Zs too if the cars are garaged. No salt here but lots of rain. LOL Gary

Here in rust belt USA (Pittsburgh), I haven't seen any 240, 260 or 280 on many years, I think it's kinda cool not seeing any other cars like mine. I do know of one guy that got one 2 years ago but I have not seen it on the road or at any of the car shows here.

Mine will be one of a kind around town. the nissan dealer in town wants me to put it in his showroom next to a 350z for a week.when I get it back. he saw me in town with a Datsun t-shirt on,an struck up a conversation.

I live in Jackson County, North Carolina. As far as I know, there is only one other driven Z car older than mine, and it is an early (mfg. 78) zx. I saw it in the parking lot of Walmart one day, and pulled up right behind it and waited for the owner. She was rather nice, but I think the car is no longer being driven (someone asked me when I wrecked mine, which I haven't...so just guessing as to it's fate...).

There are several members here within a couple hours of me, but I haven't come across them personally.

A couple weeks ago I came across a Sheriff's License checkpoint, and the Deputy told me "I haven't seen one of these in a long time. They used to be quite the car." Of course I replied "Still is quite the car!" and he let me go without even checking my license...

In some ways it's nice to have the only pre Z31 car around; it's easy to find in the parking lot. However, I have to suppress my inclinations to drive as the car wants me to, as it would be far to easy to report me, again because it's the only one in the county...

This goes without saying but they are alive and well down here in Southern California. I see an S30 perhaps once or twice a week. Granted, not as often as a ZX, but they are around.

When I was in New York City in 2001, I saw one Z. That was at the airport as I was leaving.

I live in North Florida, don't see many first gen either. I guess they must be in hibernation only to be taken out occasionaly for a nice weekend drive. The funny thing is I drove it to my local Nissen dealership with my young son because he wanted to test drive a new Z(something dads and sons do) and the salesman asked me "what kind of car is that?"

He probably wasn't born when your Z was new. My car came from long beach Ca about 2 years ago for $1000.zero rust, not even a spot under the battery. I plan to keep in climate control storage when not driving.

I remember the days where people would stare at my 240, but now when I take it out, people don't even seem to notice it or even care about it. People used to walk up and ask questions. Now, they don't even give it a second glance for some reason.

There is only one other in town of similar vintage (78 or so 280) which is in pretty good shape. I have meant to stop by and talk to the guy that drives it. It's pretty clean but he parks it out on the street (seems like a shame). At least the weather here gets along with them pretty well
