anyone know of a good source for the chrome trim that runs on either side of the roof back to the hatch? any aftermarket sources?

also, what type of floormats came from the dealer on the 240's? rubber or carpeted mats? thanks

You mean the stainless drip moldings? Probably a dealer item, assuming they're still available at all. I've got a couple spare sets, but shipping them without damaging them could be a problem.

yes, the drip moulding is it. i forgot the term. i'll check with my local dealers and see if i get lucky. i just picked up a 240 that is in outstanding condition, but the passenger side has a slight dent in it and i was going to try and replace it. i guess when that is your main concern on one of these bodies you're doing pretty well. who are your main sources for parts in general?

If the dent is slight, try your hand at repairing it yourself. You have nothing to lose. I have had great results on many stainless pieces. If you attempt it, don't hammer or strike it with anything, just use pressure from the backside with an instrument you have fashioned to do the job. Make sure the piece is supported on the face. Take your time and slowly work it into shape being careful not to go too far. When you are satisfied with the dent removal you can then bring the luster back by using graduating grits of wet sanding paper and then polishing compound. That's just what I would do.
