m4xwellmurd3r Posted March 25, 2008 Share #13 Posted March 25, 2008 Nah, even 1024x768 is too big. I think that 800x600 is the biggest you can go without stretching the page. I didn't resize mine because the page was already strecthed. One thing for sure, you can really see the detail in your picture! yeah, 1024 stretches it a bit, but only because of our sidebar. if not for that it would be fine. I'm not sure if i'll put a cold air on my car yet. I just pulled the snorkel of the stock intake so now it's getting fresh air from the grill instead of the engine bay *shrugs* I think it gets plenty of air. But maybe I'll fab up a cold air for stupid cheap haha.
sblake01 Posted March 25, 2008 Share #14 Posted March 25, 2008 I've heard it said many times that the design of the 280Z intake is similar to a 'CAI' because of how it's set up and you don't really gain much from the aftermarket/homemade type. Not sure I really notice any performance gain, mpg is virtually the same, but I like the look and sound.
sblake01 Posted March 25, 2008 Share #15 Posted March 25, 2008 Not bad for a blackberry camera phone. Did you ever think about straping the intake down below where the stock airbox sits?Briefly but I did it the way I did is in case I have to switch back to the stock setup. In California, sometimes an over zealous smog technician(!) won't even run the test if you have a non stock intake.

Rockr69 Posted March 27, 2008 Share #17 Posted March 27, 2008 Looks Good! For all of you who either can't afford it or don't care about the looks, check out what can be done with a dremel and about 1 hour of work. Sounds great and "seems" to pull a little harder. Could be and probably is wishful thinking and with a K&N filter when I can afford it, it'll look even better! Dan
m4xwellmurd3r Posted March 27, 2008 Share #18 Posted March 27, 2008 , my airbox is too nice to do that to. I'd sell mine and find a rusty one first.
Rockr69 Posted March 27, 2008 Share #19 Posted March 27, 2008 Yep that was it with me. the horn was crumpled on mine so I cut it off. Sounds awesome when your full on it! Reminds me of my old Quadrajet days.
