March 26, 200817 yr comment_241908 You are in the wrong place asking the wrong questions.I think you need one of the other Z sites with a younger audience more interested in noise and smoke than substance. But...If you really want to smoke em up, buy the cheepest tires you can find, soak them in bleach for as long as you can stand, and empty the fuel tank, fill it up with AVgas(available at your local airport-but call first, some states do not allow it to be pumped into a car) and tune up the car-advancing the timing as far as you can, install the wheels and punch it. If you did a good job tuning the car, you will see smoke like mad, and you will probably be calling a tow truck to get your Z home. Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/27513-burnout-tips/#findComment-241908 Share on other sites

March 26, 200817 yr comment_241911 Well Minnesota, let me break it down for you...You're talking about a 4 wheel independent suspension sports car. It's built with the intention of competent and spirited driving around turns... and it does that quite well.I do NOT recommend it but..... If you feel it to be of grave importance to start a "one tire fire" or the "single wheel peel" there is a pretty sure shot way to do it. With proper tune and tire pressure just park the rear of your (more than likely open differential'd) Z in a puddle of water with some bleach added for extra smoke, rev the wizz out of it and drop the clutch. This should provide you with the desired effect........ ***DANGER*** .... you will more than likely destroy a few parts on your over 30 year old lady from the land of the rising sun. You have 6 U-joints and a multitude of other more costly drivetrain members begging you NOT to do this. March 26, 200817 yr comment_241915 Yep it's the same kid asking the same question.Don't tear up an old car you can't fix. And don't bother trying to find someone who will buy it once you break it with your crazy stunt.I'm only 19 and I know better than to try and do crap like that. I'm always afraid that if I drop the clutch with too much revs my poor girls going to break a joint somewhere. March 26, 200817 yr comment_241921 My friend,You are a FOOL to even THINK of treating a Zed like that. As has already been pointed out, the car is 30 plus years old!!!!!!!!!Do you have any idea how many things can go wrong???? how many parts, bits and pieces are likely to disintergrate under the strain??????I mentioned in another thread recently that some people deserve the title of Richard Cranium. You, my friend, in my opinion, fall into that category.Rick.:devious::devious: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/27513-burnout-tips/#findComment-241921 Share on other sites
