March 26, 200817 yr comment_241932 You know, the responses to his question disappointment me. Why can't he do a burnout? All modern sports cars are capable of doing burnouts. Hell, many modern sedans can do a burnout. You treat the Z like it is a rarified object that should be coddled, or you think that it should only be abused on the track. March 26, 200817 yr comment_241937 ... or you think that it should only be abused on the track.Well Sir, allow me to state the obvious... A track is about the only LEGAL place to abuse any automobile. It isn't that it can't do a burnout because it's a sportscar... it's that a 150hp, 30+ yr old, IRS, sports car isn't exactly the king of burnouts and quite frankly if you have to ask then be prepared for damage, because if it was built appropriately (ie: Dave's Z) it would require no effort to melt a set of shoes. Plenty of non-sports cars can do burn outs especially the front wheel drives, solid axles, light rear-ends ... big deal... hell my crew cab Frontier can roast a set of tires almost as nicely as Dave's impressive display.Furthermore I'd like to pose a retorical question to the entire board...Is it impossible to post your own reply/answer to a question without attacking anothers response? Hmmm, I'll take my own advice and roll on... Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/27513-burnout-tips/?&page=2#findComment-241937 Share on other sites

March 26, 200817 yr comment_241968 I think he's getting exactly the response that he's looking for from us.... This seems to be the kind of person that would go to the zoo and poke the tiger with a stick just for laughs. Why any of us - including myself - responded is beyond me.... What Stephen said in post #10. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/27513-burnout-tips/?&page=2#findComment-241968 Share on other sites
