Posted March 29, 200817 yr comment_242308 Hi Guys its time for a clutch change, i put in a 5 speed from a 78 in it last summer and its slipping when i get on it, my 72 Z has original Racer brown cam mod, big exhaust no header, and the 5 speed. Its lowered, 36k original miles run hard when i drive it. Any advise on a stronger one and source for it will be appreciated. March 29, 200817 yr comment_242311 You do not need a stronger clutch, simply replace your worn out OE clutch. You are not making that much power. March 30, 200817 yr comment_242366 I am using an ACT heavy duty pressure plate and ACT street disk. I am putting down around 320 ft-lbs to the wheels right now, and once I finish my meth injection setup (waiting for the tank), I should be around 360 ft-lbs to the wheels. Great engagement, not too harsh, though the pressure plate is a bit stiff.I am using the 240mm flywheel for my turbo setup.
